Not Vital had his first exhibition in the United States at Mendelson Gallery in 1980. His career and friendship with Mendelson continues through the years. In fact, Steve Mendelson will be returning from Beijing, where he will meet Not Vital for two art openings, just in time for the opening here.
Emil Lukas, from Pittsburgh, met Vital through Mendelson and moved to New York to become his studio assistant. All three remain friends and continue to exhibit thru Mendelson, and throughout the world.
